Description
Again done under circumvention of using my tripod. As this time there is a clearer offer of a focus this might be easier to the eye.
The rest is as before:
Shown are the little first pioneers growing on a stump of a hollow and therefore cut tree. The whole ensemble is found in the park of Schloss Dyck, which can be seen in sometimes in my gallery.

wow! very cool! this is an almost-fav for me! cool light, colour, composition, dof. just the motive itself lacks a bit of spectacularity, if you know what i mean.
i guess it's the combination of simple eye-catcher with small size. if the mossy leaves were about double the size, i think it would have a cooler feel to it.
i know, advanced critique is not turned on, by i try to take the risky step forward and analyse even more (covering my head, so you don't slap me...
):
thing is, the unfocused background is cool, but i think even in it's blurryness has too much going on. so it kinda draws the attention from the main focus. so i would fav if either the leaves were bigger and thus would draw the attention more than the background or if the background was a bit less "turbulent" and thus would let the leaves their room of attention.
damn, that's a long post. but i love the emotion in the pic so it deserves a bit more thinking...
