night ride home V

Description

It was an hour to midnight and I was on my way back home from this seasons first family barbecue when I suddely noticed something bright and shining in the grass. I stopped and had a look. Looked somehow nice. So I took a photograph. That's night right home I. Then I went closer and took another. That's night ride home II. When I noticed the dead insect I decided to hit the button once again, just to be on the safe side. And that's night ride home III.

Then I remembered my mini tripod and got it out of the bag. In calm and and smooth a voice I began to talk to the trees and their leaves. I managed to convice them not to move during my next shot. 13 seconds they would obey, but then the leaves started moving and chatting again. You see it on night right home IV.

I thanked them both, the trees and the leaves and started to talk to them all, the trees, the leaves, the walls, the windows, the insects and to those funny voices inside my head. I convinced them to shut up and took this.

I thanked them all and drove home.

The shots were at the illuminated alley leading to the street entrance of Schloss Dyck, Niederrhein, Germany. On this last photo you see far away the servants entrance. Night ride home I, II and II were taken without the tripod, IV and V were taken with the tripod and the self timer with 8 seconds exposure time. I feel not like removing the noise that can best be seen on V, cause I like it.
